Spring/Summer Book Promotion Internship
Description:
The BounceBack Artist is seeking an intern to help promote our CEO’s second book, The BounceBack Artist: The 8-Step Secret to Conquering Life’s Setbacks, You’ll help in the creation of a launch party as well as a Midwest book tour, podcast tour, and blog tour.
This position could lead to a paid, permanent position with a growing company, depending on your performance and goals.
Responsibilities:
For the launch party, you’ll work directly with our CEO to find a venue, create outreach and build relationships with potential event sponsors, and design the launch party event.
For the Midwest book tour, you’ll be responsible for creating a list of bookstores, libraries, book clubs, and venues for book signings and readings. You’ll conduct outreach to your list and book dates when the author will appear. You may be asked to assist at some of the signings and readings, so if you’re located in the Midwest (Indianapolis preferred), all the better. However, location is not a dealbreaker.
You will also be participating in scheduling a podcast book tour, as well as a blog book tour, and you’ll be exposed to sales and marketing processes.
You’ll have full guidance on every task, plus you’ll also have regular meetings with and access to the CEO and founder of a successful business (and Guinness World Records titlebreaker!) Be prepared to learn a lot – we put a lot into training interns and want you to be successful in your future endeavors. Every intern our CEO has worked with has gone on to have a successful career!
Qualifications:
You must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable. Ideally, you’re comfortable with Google Calendar, G Suite, and Dropbox, at a minimum, but if you’re not, we’ll teach you. Reliability and quality of professionalism in communication are critically important to this role.
This is a remote position. You should be relatively independent and self-motivating, but you will be supervised: you will meet with the CEO once a week (sometimes in person and sometimes via phone or Zoom) to discuss your progress. You may also meet with our VP of Sales.
References required with each application. So that we know you’ve read the listing in full and actually are detail-oriented, please find a creative way to use “bubble gum” in your application.
We anticipate you’ll be working no more than 20 hours/week until April 30, then if you’d like full time work, you may work 40 hours/week until August 15.
Please note that this is an unpaid internship.
